Good sunglasses are of course indispensable on a hot summer day at the beach, boat, car or terrace. It looks much nicer and not unimportant, the sunglasses also protect your eyes. Of course, this only applies to sunglasses that contain UV protection.
Unfortunately, it often happens that you have greasy fingers on your sunglasses lenses after wearing them for a day. You know it, you want to clean your sunglasses and after cleaning there are still greasy stains in the corners and / or there are still grains of sand between the lenses and the frame. We at EveryWear have of course come up with something for this so that you can clean your sunglasses without leaving scratches and they feel like new again. In addition, you do not have to buy special glasses cleaning equipment to perform this.
You should NOT do this while cleaning your sunglasses
Do not use hot water!Do not clean the sunglasses, i.e. the lenses and the frame, with hot water. By using hot water you ensure a large temperature difference. This can affect the coating of the frame, hinges and lenses. This would of course be a shame!
The use of remedies is also something to be careful with. If you use a cleaning agent that contains, for example, lemon additives or other acids, this can affect the frame, hinges and lenses.
Are there grains of sand, a lot of dust or crumbs, etc. on your glasses? Then skip cleaning with just a cloth and move on to the deeper cleaning process. This way you prevent scratches on your sunglasses. Wondering how to clean the glasses? We're going to explain that to you.
THE way to clean your sunglasses perfectly
Of course you can clean your sunglasses with a lens cloth if there are greasy fingers on them, but sometimes you have to go a little further to get them like new again. As you have just read, it is not useful to use a lens cloth if there is a lot of sand, dust or crumbs on your sunglasses. Doing so could damage your sunglasses. But what should you do?

Here comes an h2 title.
If you have EveryWear sunglasses , you can carry out all the following steps without any worries. We divide cleaning by degrees. Grade 1 is for light dirt, grade 2 for longer-lasting stains and light dirt, and grade 3 for the really dirty work.
Grade 1 (greasy fingers, without other dirt):
Grab a clean glasses cloth, hold the glasses by the bridge of the nose and run your fingers over the glasses like a kind of squeezer. Do not press too hard on the glass with your fingers. Make sure that the cloth can do its job and that any deposited dirt cannot scratch the glass.
Please note, do not let the cloth fall on the floor, dirt can stick to it, which can then scratch your glasses. If you have dropped it, knock it out well before you get started.

Grade 2 (stains and light dirt):
At grade 2 we go into a slightly deeper cleaning process, but still not complicated. Grab your sunglasses by the bridge of your nose and turn the tap on lukewarm water. Obviously do not do this with a hard jet, a soft jet is enough and that is also extra pollution-free ;). Let the water do its job and keep the jet on both the inside and outside of the glass. It's okay if the frame gets wet. Wait until the coarse dirt is gone. Now you run your fingers slowly and lightly over the glass to remove the remaining dirt. You do this while holding the sunglasses under the water. Has this been done? Turn off the tap and grab a clean tea towel. Grab the glasses again by the bridge of the nose and run your fingers over the glasses like a kind of clothespin. Don't press too hard on the glass with your fingers and make sure the tea towel can do its job. If you still see a small stain after this, grab a lens cloth to wipe away the last remnants.
Grade 3 (the real dirty work like sand, crumbs, etc.):
Grade 3 is about the dirt that is difficult to remove, but also, as can be seen in the photo, has become stuck between the lenses and the frame of the sunglasses. Grab your sunglasses by the bridge of your nose and turn the tap on lukewarm water. Obviously do not do this with a hard jet, a soft jet is enough. Briefly rinse the first dirt off the glasses. The next step should not be performed with too much force. Grab your glasses as shown in photo (X) and click the glass at the bottom out of the frame with your thumb. Then remove the dirt and dry the frame and glass with a tea towel.
You replace the glass as follows. From the inside, place the glass in the top of the frame and then click the bottom back into the frame. For the detailed explanation, watch the additional video below.
